The Associated Press has this report.
"Three prominent lobbyists have guided the Egyptian government's interests in Washington, helping to secure billions in U.S. aid, at times blunting congressional pro-democracy efforts and over the past week working behind the scenes for the embattled regime.
The three political veterans — former Republican House speaker Bob Livingston, former Democratic Rep. Toby Moffett and longtime lobbyist Tony Podesta — work separately for Egypt through their own firms and together under a co-joined company that earns more than $1 million a year alone from Cairo, according to federal documents."
